Base

  • ½ cup butter or tub margarine
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Method

For base: In a large microwavable bowl, microwave butter or margarine on High until melted, about 1 minute. Blend in cocoa, sugar, egg and vanilla extract. Microwave, uncovered, for 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds. Mixture will resemble custard. Chop nuts on the steel blade with 6 or 8 quick on/off pulses.
