Why is this apple cake different from all the others? Because it’s gluten-free! It uses potato starch to thicken the batter and contains kosher for Passover baking powder. Use regular baking powder the rest of the year.

Ingredients

Filling

  • 6 large apples, peeled, cored and cut in quarters
  • ⅓ to ½ cup sugar (white or brown)

Method

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 7- × 11-inch glass baking dish with nonstick spray.

Slicer: For filling, slice apples, using medium pressure. Transfer to large mixing bowl; mix with sugar and cinnamon.
