  • 3 cups whole or low-fat milk
  • ¼ cup sugar or adjust to taste

Method

In a medium-size saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, ginger, peppercorns, tea, and 6 cups of water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to simmer until the tea becomes light brown. Strain the tea directly into individual cups and serve immediately.
