Makai ko tachauera is a delicious old-fashioned family recipe. This creamy corn pudding was a culinary treat growing up in Nepal. It was usually prepared during the peak growing season when the corn was freshest.

Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 ears sweet corn
  • ¼ cup clarified butter (gheu) or unsalted butter

Method

Remove the husks and silks from the corn. With a sharp knife, slice off the kernels. Scrape down the base of the cob with the side of the knife, extracting as much milky juice as possible into a bowl.
