This refreshing lemonade is often served to welcome guests on hot days. Serve the lemonade chilled, garnished with lemon or lime slices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1 cup sugar, or to taste

Method

In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, sugar, and 6 cups of cold water and mix thoroughly to dissolve the sugar. Add the lemon slices and mint, and chill. When you are ready to serve, pour the lemonade into glasses of crushed ice.
