  • 3 cups (600 g) long-grain white basmati rice (use standard a measuring cup, not the smaller cup that comes with rice cookers)
  • 4

Method

  1. Wash the rice by placing it in a large container and covering it with lukewarm water. Agitate gently with your hand, then pour off the water. Repeat 5 times until the rice is completely clean. If using long-grain American or Texmati rice, reduce water to 3 cups/720ml, and it is not necessary to wash the rice.
  2. Combine all the ingredients except the saffron water
