  • 2 cups (400 g) dried yellow split fava beans soaked in 8 cups (1.9l) water overnight, and drained

  1. Wash the rice by placing it in a large container and covering it with lukewarm water. Agitate gently with your hand, then pour off the water. Repeat 3 times. Drain and set aside. (If using American rice, there is no need to wash it).
