Method

  1. In a laminated pot, place the barberries and apple cider and bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, saffron-rose water, and lime juice. Bring back to a boil, stirring frequently. Simmer over medium heat for 35 to 40 minutes until the syrup is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
