This is a family favourite from Lithuania, called kiunke su kopūstais. It is quite similar to the Irish and Scottish potato and cabbage dish, colcannon, and is usually made to accompany various cuts of grilled meat or fish. Sauerkraut is widely available in the shops, but you will always get the best results if you use a homemade variety.
