A classic Chinese restaurant dish that is very easy to make and can be prepared well in advance. What a great way to end a Chinese dinner!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (750 ml) water
  • 2 tablespoons agar-agar powder<

Method

  1. Pour the water into a deep saucepan and sprinkle the agar-agar powder over it. Stir gently and slowly bring to a boil over medium heat. Then reduce the heat and simmer gently over low heat for 5 minutes. Add the milk and sugar, and continue to stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add the almond essence and gently simmer for another minute. Pour the mixture
