Galicia is famed throughout Spain for its gloriously fresh seafood. I shall never forget a couple on the Costa de la Muerte, who gorged upon a huge platter without as much as a word between them. It was compulsive viewing as they eyed the plate like a chessboard. It was all down to strategy; one large, time-consuming choice, such as a lobster claw could result in the loss of half a dozen tender prawns (shrimp).
