Gin & tonics served in giant goblet glasses were very popular in Barcelona when we were visiting. There was a bar on our corner called Xixbar Gin & Cocktails that made all different types. I had one there with cloves that was delicious and perfect for colder weather. If youāre having people over for drinks, make a platter with several different garnish options and allow guests to build their own G&T. I like to fill the glass about halfway with ice, then add a 12 ratio of gin to tonic, followed by 2 or 3 of the garnishes below. Keep in mind the garnish is mostly about enhancing the sensory experience with aroma and not necessarily to eat.
thyme
rosemary
mint
cucumber
clen entire wheel
orange twist
lemon wedge
lime wheel
pink grape fruit slice
pink peppercorn
dried jumper berries
cloves
additional garnish options: blackberries, edible flowers (like nasturtium), star anise, cinnamon sticks, fresh ginger slices, jalapeƱos, basil, lavender, and pomegranate seeds
