When I was studying art in Italy in college, one of my favorite pasta dishes was simply aglio, olio, e peperoncino (garlic, oil & red pepper flakes! I’ve started with that in mind and added some lemon and greens. You rarely see whole-wheat pasta at restaurants in Italy, but to me it feels a little lighter and is perfect for a healthy weeknight meal.
Serve hot with additional lemon wedges, salt & pepper.
