One of our favorite meals in Barcelona was at the restaurant Tapeo in the historic El Born neighborhood, which came recommended by several friends. One of the tapas I loved most there was an eggplant dish with honey and lime, which I had to try to re-create. The flavor combination is so simple and delicious! we saw a similar dish at another favorite restaurant, Lolita Taperia, that used molasses instead of honey (and no lime). Both were served as an appetizer with a toothpick, but this dish could also be served as a side to any entree.
Transfer the eggplant pieces to a platter then sprinkle with:
