  • 2 leeks
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch broccolini
  • red pepper flakes
  • ½ lemon
  • olive oil


Slice Thinly cut the white parts of 2 large leeks into rounds. Use a mandoline if you have one.

Sauté Cook the leeks on med/low with 2 T olive oil & a pinch of salt until wilted & slightly browned (about 10 min). Then add 1 bunch of broccolini (ends trimmed), plus a bit more olive oil, 2 chopped cloves garlic, a pinch of red pepper flakes, juice from ½ lemon, salt & pepper to taste. Stir & cook 3-5 min more, until the broccolini is bright green.

Serve Place the broccolini on a platter with the leeks scattered on top & a small additional sprinkling of salt, pepper & red pepper flakes. Serve warm or at room temp.
