This is Uval’s recipe for Kali: Roasted Grain from the Book of Ruth, which she based on the ancient biblical practice. I have assumed from her recipe that the kernels should be cooked on either a modern gas fire, barbeque or even a hob, as she concludes by writing “that the grains will cook faster over a good campfire”.
