  • ¾ cup (5 oz./150 g) sugar
  • ¾ cup

Method

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a large saucepan.
  2. Place over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat and bring to a simmer.
  3. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  4. If adding a flavoring, whisk it in once the syrup has cooled.
