  • 2 cups (500 ml) Pécharmant red wine or light red Bordeaux
  • Scant 1 cup

Method

  1. Heat the wine gently in a large saucepan. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Add the tea bag and peppercorns and bring to a simmer. Let simmer over low heat until it turns into a light syrup.
  2. While the syrup is simmering, wash and hull the strawberries.
