Method

  1. Combine the almonds, sugar, and flour in a mixing bowl. Using a flexible spatula, stir in the egg whites and butter. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1½ hours, or preferably 3 days.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C/Gas Mark 4).
