I have a friend who cooks wonderfully and is a brilliant host. I was one of eight dinner guests one evening when he served this very simple and delicious dish that should encourage anyone who feels timid about cooking duck to give it a try. The duck breasts were served neatly carved on each plate and in the centre of the table was a gratin of potatoes for us to help ourselves.
A lovely green salad or a dish of green vegetables is the only other accompaniment required to make this a
