Chestnut honey has a unique, almost dry flavour that marries well with the sweet earthy quality of figs.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 small black figs
  • 6 x 1.5 cm-thick slices brioche, crusts left on
  • 30

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut each fig lengthwise into 5 and arrange on the brioche so that each fig covers 1 slice of brioche.
  2. In a small bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gently warm the honey until it is runny, but do not let it get too hot. Comb
