Almond Milk Granita with Oven-dried Apple Slices

Granita is less sweetened than sorbet and consequently will freeze to a hard mass if not stirred frequently; its granular texture and low level of sweetness makes it a very refreshing experience. If you don’t have the time or inclination to make the oven-dried apple slices, this granita is equally delicious with fresh berries.

Ingredients

  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 50 ml water
  • 500 g

Method

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, dissolve the sugar in the 50ml of water and slowly bring to the boil, making sure the sugar is dissolved before the syrup boils. Remove from the heat and chill thoroughly.
