Cinnamon & Honey-Baked Figs with Sweet Ginger Slices

I look forward to fig season every year! Figs are at best in the autumn; they are at their most succulent and there are a lot of different types to choose from. They go from beige to brown, purple to black and green. In France, the colours are often associated with a beautiful name: La Noire de Caromb, La Dorée, La Bourjasotte, La Dauphine, La Marseillaise. How charming is that? For me, the best ones are the purple/black; I find they have the best flavour, which makes them perfect for bakin
