I inherited a huge love of bread from my mom. She’s made me so many beautiful loaves of bread, but she always wants everything to be done quickly. So she made this no-knead bread, which is simply mixed with a wooden spoon. Watching her prod at the dough always made me laugh, and now that I make my own, it’s shocking how easy it is. This chewy, crunchy, still-warm bread in the morning—just the way Mom makes it—is so delicious.
