North Fork Peach-Raspberry Pie

My family used to have a summer house on Shelter Island, just off the North Fork on New York’s Long Island. The car trip out was grueling on those late Friday afternoons. Once we exited the congested expressway, we’d crawl through miles and miles of potato farms. Briermere Farm was our beacon near the end of the road. We’d stop to stretch and pick up fresh vegetables and a couple of their handmade fruit pies for the weekend. Their peach-raspberry pie alone made the entire trip worthwhile. T
