  • 5 Bosc or other firm pears, peeled
  • 100 grams ( ounces) sugar</

Method

Peel, core, and cut the pears into 2.5-centimeter (1-inch) cubes. Place the cubed pears in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan. Stir in the sugar and place over low heat. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes, or until the pears are just tender.

Stir in the cinnamon and cook for another minute or two to just infuse the spice into the pears.

Set aside to cool.<
