Who remembers eating pop tarts for breakfast as a kid? I used to love them but of course they are not the most nutritious way to start the day. My homemade version uses unsweetened pastry and healthier homemade fillings. Just as tasty but a little better for the kids.

  • 320 g ready-rolled sheet of shortcrust pastry

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C Fan/Gas Mark 7 and line a baking tray with baking parchment.
