This is a dish our Gran made for us when we first became vegetarian. For the real experience use Indian beans, but you will have to cook them for Longer – 40–45 minutes. Our uncle used to say “first take your children home and then give them one kind of bargi”, which we thought meant a good hiding, but now we think he meant something nutritious they will enjoy!
