Ingredients

  • 20 g (¾ oz) active dry yeast
  • 4 tsp sugar

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix the yeast with the sugar and warm water. Leave for 10–15 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir this into one-third of the flour. Mix up 4tsp of combined salt, chopped herbs and black pepper into the remaining flour. Combine the two flour mixes together with the olive oil and pesto, then knead vigorously for 10–15 minutes using the heel of the hand.
