Steamed Dumplings

If you haven’t caught on to the trend yet—Germans love dumplings. These fluffy, steamed dampfnudeln are available at all German Christmas markets, and I would not walk, but run to get some. I was shocked to find out that they taste even better homemade (yes, even without the Christmas market atmosphere). As they are slowly expanding in your pan, an irresistble caramel crust develops on the bottom of the dampfnudel, which is my favorite feature! Dampfnudeln
