Potato Salad

Each German family has their own version of potato salad, and this is ours. My Oma Sieghilde’s creamy, mayo-based kartoffelsalat is packed with dill pickles, eggs, Wiener sausages, and—you guessed it—plenty of potatoes. It makes a great contribution to an outdoor or indoor gathering with family and friends. When I’m in Germany in the summer, it’s a must-have for grilling outside, served alongside a variety of grilled meats, bratwurst, and good bread.
