There’s a common misconception that I’d like to address before I continue. Bruce is not named after a character from a popular children’s book who was force-fed a very large chocolate cake. I have never read the book, nor seen the movie, and it is purely coincidental. An annoying coincidence, but a coincidence, nonetheless.
