Method

Mix together fresh sour cream, egg yolks, butter, sugar, and ½ teaspoon salt. Dilute with light beer and set the pan on the fire, stirring, until very hot, but do not boil. Immediately pour into a soup tureen over pieces of wheat bread, either cut into cubes or made into croutons. Separately, serve f
