  • 2 bottles cream
  • 1 vershok vanilla
  • 6 egg yolks
  • ½ lb or 1 glass fine sugar
  • ¼–½ lb chocolate (biscuits or ice cream)
  • 1 glass milk


    Beat 6 egg yolks with ½ lb sugar until white and stir in 2 bottles of cream. Break ¼ to ½ lb of chocolate into pieces, dissolve in 2 glasses of milk, and bring to the boil. Add the chocolate and milk to the cream mixture and heat, stirring, until very hot. Strain, cool, and serve with ice cream.
