Ingredients

  • 30 plums
  • ½ vershok stick cinnamon, or 5–6 cloves
  • ½ glass sugar
  • ½–1 glass wine
  • 1 teaspoon potato flour

    Method

    Boil 30 plums and spices, if desired (½ vershok stick cinnamon or 5–6 cloves), in water. Rub the plums through a fine sieve, mix with ¼ lb sugar and ½ or 1 glass table wine, bring to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon potato flour mixed with 1 spoon water and bring to a boil again, stirring.
