Ingredients

  • breast of pork
  • small head of fresh cabbage, or 2 glasses sauerkraut
  • 5 sour apples
  • 1 spoon butter
  • 1 onion

Method

Wash a pork breast and chop or crack the bones [without detaching them from the meat]. Using a knife, make a slit between the bones and the meat and fill the cavity with the following stuffing. Shred a small head of fresh cabbage, add salt, and squeeze out the moisture, or use sauerkraut. Mix with 5 finely chopped sour apples and 1 spoon butter. Stuff the breast and sew it up. Strew with finely chopped onion, pour on 3 spoons of water, and roast in the oven.
