Ingredients

  • ¼ lb cornflowers
  • ¾ lb sugar
  • 10 zolotniki gelatin
  • 2 small lemons
  • 1 wineglass maraschino
  • 1 egg white

Method

Scald ¼ lb cornflowers [vasilek = Centaurea Cyanus] with boiling water. Let stand and strain. Add sugar and gelatin, boil until soft, and clarify with an egg white. Add the juice of 2 lemons and 1 wineglass maraschino, strain, and chill.
