This is another one-pot wonder that you can leave to cook on the hob or in a low oven for a couple of hours. It’s a delicious curry, lightly spiced, that we like with dhal, rice and sweet potato.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 big onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves,

Method

  1. Place a large pot on a medium heat, then add the oil, onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes, until the onions have started to soften.
  2. Add the beef to the pan and continue to cook, stirring, until the pieces are nice and browned all over.
  3. Add the tomatoes, garam masala, salt, black pepper, turmeric, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper and smoked paprika
