These traditional biscuits might seem rather old-fashioned, but they taste so much better than the shop-bought variety. Lovely and buttery, they keep very well in a tin until you are ready to stick them together with icing.

Ingredients

  • 175 g butter, softened
  • 50 g icing sugar

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C/150°C fan/gas mark 3. Grease a baking tray with butter.
