My granny gave me this recipe. It’s the beating at the end that makes this tablet so special, so really go at it! This makes a lot but it keeps well in an airtight tin and is great for presents.

Ingredients

  • 900 g caster sugar
  • 250 ml full-fat milk
  • 110 g

Method

  1. Place the sugar, milk and butter in a large pan over a gentle heat, stirring occasionally, until all the sugar has dissolved. You need to use a big pan for this as the tablet mixture will expand as it boils.
  2. Add the condensed milk and mix it in, then increase the heat to medium and stir continuously with a balloon whisk while the mixture boils. Keep on stirring
