  • About

These dinner rolls are golden brown and moist, with just the right amount of chewiness. We enjoy them by themselves, with a pat of butter, dipped in Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup, or even as mini sandwiches. Freeze any extras to defrost later and reheat to make like new.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) warm water (about 115°F/45°C)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Method

  1. Combine the water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and allow to rest for 5 minutes, until the yeast is active and the mixture bubbly with a layer of foam on top.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk, honey, salt, and ⅓ cup of the butter over medium-low heat (115°F to 120°F/45°C) to melt the butter.
  3. While the milk mixture is heating, use 1 tablespoon of the butter
