  • About

Teriyaki, a traditional Japanese dish, has a sweet and slightly salty flavor that kids love. The chicken has a beautiful sheen and the combination of soy, mirin, sesame, and ginger forms the flavor foundation. Serve with rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 boneless chicken thighs ( pounds/

Method

  1. Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5 minutes per side, until cooked through, being conscious not to move the chicken too much, allowing it to brown and develop great flavor.
  2. While the chicken is cooking, in a small bowl, combine the sake, water, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, ginger, sesame oil, and garlic.
