Method

  1. Preheat the broiler. Place the pepper on a baking sheet and broil, rotating periodically, until uniformly blackened on all sides. When cool enough to handle, cut off the stem, then de-seed, if you like, for mild salsa; keep in the seeds to make the salsa spicier.
  2. Spread the corn kernels out in an even layer on the baking sheet and likewise broil until they begi
