Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar and cocoa powder. Add the agave nectar, half-and-half, butter, and salt.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
