On a trip to Tarifa in southern Spain, my then girlfriend, now wife, and I found a small and cosy little harbour café with everyone inside drinking sherry and pecking at little plates with toothpicks. Speaking fluent Spanish, she quickly got talking to the waiter, who advised that we try the shrimp fritters. Good idea! We kept on ordering more and more until defeated.
