It is only right that you eat these while tilting back in your chair with your boots on the table. Please hold the tin or enamel plate just beneath your unshaven chin (yes, ladies too) and spoon the beans crudely into your nearby mouth. Grunt occasionally and be sure to make a clattering scrapey sound with the spoon on the plate as you slurp the end of your serving over the rim.
