Strictly speaking, a true daiquiri has no fruit in it, but having endured a lot of strictness in the first half of my life, I can do without it now. I like my daiquiri to err on the sweet side, but please alter the sugar syrup as you see fit. Buying sugar syrup in branded bottles is a pointless waste of money. Simply dissolve unbleached white sugar with an equal amount of water and let it cool. If keen on your cocktails, make more than you need, as it keeps.
