Method

Mix together the flour, smoked paprika, salt, pepper and baking powder in a bowl. Add the butter and rub together until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Gradually add 400ml/14fl oz/generous 1½ cups boiling water, mixing with a wooden spoon and gradually bringing the ingredients together to form a soft dough.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured work surface for 1-2 minutes until smoot
