  • About

These sablé cookies are delicious served as is, if you prefer. But the filling with maple syrup and toasted walnuts adds wonderful flavor and decadence. This is an ideal do-ahead recipe; in fact, the cookies are best not served immediately. Make them at least an hour before serving; they’ll still be delicious a day or two later.

Ingredients

Walnut Sablés

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • cup chopped toasted walnuts

Method

To make the walnut sablés, combine ½ cup of the flour and the walnuts in a food processor and pulse until the walnuts are very finely chopped. Add the remaining 1 cup flour, powdered sugar, and salt and pulse
