What British child didn’t grow up loving this breakfast? But of course, adults love it too and this plant-based version is just as delicious and fun to eat.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml/9 fl oz (1 cup) unsweetened dairy-free milk

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients, except the turmeric. Bring the mixture to a boil over a high heat, then lower to a medium heat and whisk for about 3 minutes, until the mixture thickens. It should be smooth and glossy.
  2. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the turmeric. Pour into egg cups or small glasses.
  3. Butter the toast and
